Krishi Vruddhi empowers farmers by providing precision farming solutions that promote sustainable practices and enhance productivity. The integrated platform utilizes hyperlocal weather observations, lightning detection and analytics of imagery from satellites & drones to provide crop specific hyperlocal advisory. This technology allows for real-time identification of water stress, nutrient deficiencies, pests, diseases, and weeds. With this information, farmers can make informed decisions, optimise resource use, and sustainably increase their yields.

Krishi Vruddhi is the flagship product of the agri-tech segment of Hydenmet, designed to serve as a comprehensive technology platform for providing crop-specific advisory for different agroclimatic zones.

Krishi Vruddhi uses real-time data from the following three sources:

  • Automatic weather stations, lightning detection systems including radars & Ultra-High / Very High / High / Low Frequency sensors – for weather forecasting and lightning alerts
  • Satellite imagery analytics to understand generic crop issues related to water-stress, nutrition-stress, pests & diseases and overall crop health
  • Drone imagery to understand agroclimatic zone/crop / variety-specific crop conditions

All of the above data is used to perform predictive and prescriptive analytics using AI models for crop intelligence and ground truth data to derive the necessary advice.

The Next Steps

Krishi Vruddhi’s metamorphosis is to provide automated and targeted interventions.

  • After identifying and geo-fencing the affected areas, spraying of pesticide/insecticide/fungicide only in those areas through a pre-determined flight path for a drone to spray
  • Spraying of fertilisers and growth promoters only at nutrition-stressed portions of cultivation
